Good News:SSNIT and NIA Numbers Merger extended, Check Details

The management of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) wishes to inform the general public that the SSNIT and NIA numbers merger have been extended.

The deadline for the Merger of Social Security and National Insurance Trust Fund(SSNIT) and National Identification Numbers (NIA) which ended on 31st December 2021 has been extended to 30th June 2022.

According to SSNIT, starting from 1st July 2022, the Ghana Card will be the only identification recognized by the Trust.

” Members who fail to merge their SSNIT and NIA numbers will be denying themselves access to pensions and other social security-related services from SSNIT.”

Follow the steps below to merge your SSNIT and NIA Numbers

• Dial “711”9# and follow the prompts.

Alternatively. Members may visit SSNIT official website: https://www.ssnit.org.gh/member/ and
follow the instructions

You can also visit the nearest SSNIT Branch with the following details: Ghana Cards. valid email addresses and phone numbers.

Once the merger of the SSNIT and NIA numbers is complete, Members can use their Ghana Cards to transact business with the Trust.

NB:There will be no further extension beyond 30 June. 2022 deadline.
