Bece grading system in Ghana 2022
The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the first external examination written in Ghana’s educational system.
Students are well equipped to face the external world of education different from the usual terminal or semester exams since their Primary School days.
A timetable is released to all Basis Schools (JHS) ahead of the scheduled day across the country’s length and breadth.
The examination uses only a week or two (2) to finish writing and the results are normally released in less than three (3) months for students to have access to and further into the Senior High School (SHS)

1 or GRADE A+ (90 -100)
Its denotation/description is the HIGHEST.
2 or GRADE A (80-89)
Its denotation/description is HIGHER.
3 or GRADE B+ (70-79)
Its denotation/description is the HIGHEST.
4 or GRADE B (60-69)
Its denotation/description is HIGH AVERAGE.
5 or GRADE C+ (55-60)
Its denotation/description is AVERAGE.
6 or GRADE C (50-54)
Its denotation/description is LOW AVERAGE.
7 or GRADE D+ (40-49)
Its denotation/description is LOW.
8 or GRADE E (35-39)
Its denotation/description is LOWER.
9 or GRADE F (0-34)
Its denotation/description is LOWEST.
