Trainees allowance should be replaced with student loan – CETAG, Check Details
Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) President, Mr. Prince Obeng Himah has told the government to introduce the student loan system.
In an interview with GBC News, Mr. Obeng-Himah outlets that time is due for the government to consider the introduction of student loans.
On could read his suggestions and made deductions that the allowance paid by the government to teacher trainees sounds a bit weird to the heads of teacher trainees.

Adding to his view on replacing allowance with a student loan, Mr. Obeng said that, either a student loan or another avenue that can source enough funds hence, loaning to trainees will be the best option.
Mr. Obeng also requested from the government take a critical look at the Association’s challenge.
Teacher Trainees Allowance To Drop This Week
He wants the government to commence a broader consultation on challenges that the Association is going through because the steps taken earlier have corroborated unsuccessfully, therefore, they need the best since the ‘said’ challenge still exists.
