The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) is an association that has graduate teachers as its members. Their members are employees of the Ghana Education Service.
Which year was NAGRAT formed/established?
NAGRAT was established in the year 1998 to cater for graduate teachers in the country purposely.
Who can join NAGRAT?
Joining NAGRAT is not compulsory. It is Optional. Referring to the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, with Sections 21 (e) and 24 (3) as well as Sections 79 (1) and 80 (1) of Ghana’s Labour Act (Act 651) of 2003, a teacher becomes a member of NAGRAT only after filling out the necessary membership registration form.

Also, that member MUST adhere to the Association’s Constitution.
Who can be a member of NAGRAT?
You can be a member of NAGRAT only if you are a graduate who is currently serving in the Ghana Education Service (G.E.S), your employer.
Per NAGRAT’s standard, Graduates are those who have obtained at least a diploma certificate from a recognized institution. Currently, the new crop of teachers will graduate as First Degree holders therefore, the need might arise for amending their membership intake requirements/criteria also.
How to apply for NAGRAT Loan online
A prospective member of NAGRAT can apply for their association’s Loan online with ease.
First of all, you have to VISIT the portal >>> www.nagratfund.com
Get your records UPLOADED onto the portal if you have not done that.
UPLOAD your guarantor’s records also onto the online portal.
Proceed by clicking the button ‘Apply for Loan’ located on the dashboard.
Fill in the next menu there. Provide your mandate number, your affordability, and the amount of money you are requesting including the duration of the loan.
At this stage of the process, the system will automatically check whether you meet their qualified standards for loans.
TAKE NOTE: When you qualify, the system will allow you to continue with your request.
Verification. You will be required to Key in your Staff ID and receive verification. TAKE NOTE: The code will be sent to your guarantor.
Last stage: Click the submit button and relax for feedback.
