BREAKING! Dr. Kwabena Duffour withdraws from NDC flagbearership race
National Democratic Congress’ Dr. Kwabena Duffour (Aspiring Presidential candidate) has announced his fall off from his party, NDC’s Presidential race scheduled to take place tomorrow, 13th May 2023.
The Presidential Aspirant, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor announced his withdrawal from the race at a press conference today, 12th May 2023.

At the press conference, he announced his final decision saying
“I want to take this opportunity to inform the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and my supporters of my decision to withdraw from the contest.”
“I want to thank the teeming supporters who believe in my message and stood behind me. I want to assure them that my decision is for the good of the party, and to assure them of my unflinching support for the victory of the NDC in the 2024 elections,” he said courageously and promised his support.
“I wish the party well, and I wish all parliamentary aspirants the very best in tomorrow’s elections, ” Dr. Kwabena Duffuor said.
The party’s primaries will be held tomorrow, Saturday, 13th May 2023 across the length and breadth of the country.
In the early hours of the day ( today, 12th May 2023), Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and his lawyers sat and agreed to pause the processing of the legal action his campaign team advised him to take.
According to reports, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s campaign team identified some discrepancies in the photo album made by the party hence, they sought to call for legal action.
In the case, the court restrained the party from holding the upcoming primaries, tomorrow, 13th May 2023 in order for correcting the identified discrepancies in the photo album register and its delivery to all aspiring candidates.
To Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, his party should have sought all the necessary discrepancies at least five (5) weeks before the scheduled primaries date to prevent any legal action taken against them (the NDC party).
Due to the discrepancies identified, he filed an interlocutory injunction on 9th May 2023 against the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary primaries planned for 13th May 2023.
However, on 12th May 2023, he withdraw the court case filed against the party’s Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries.
