The Pay Trainees Allowance Now-TTAG To Government
The Leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana, TTAG, has given the Government of Ghana three weeks ultimatum to pay six months allowance arrears owed to every trainee in the 46 Public Colleges of Education.
Speaking to Joynews, Joshua Owusu Yeboah, National Coordinator of TTAG has explained that they met the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and the Ministry of Education concerning the payment of the allowances.
“Last month, September was told that allowance is going to be paid before the end of September.”

“Trainees are indeed suffering as I’m speaking, level 400 B.Ed trainees are undertaking their teaching practice and they are supposed to buy their food and finance their project work, they all depend on the allowance for their survival.”

“We have given the government three weeks ultimatum to pay the allowance, if we don’t hear anything, we will advise ourselves.”
