The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
Weta Senior High School started as a community Day School on 1st November 2010 under the supervision of F.K.J. Tsevia, then Ketu North District Director of education. Looking at his heavy schedule, he delegated G.K. Ganyo, then at District Education Office to organize the school.
The student population as of 1st November 2010 was 255, comprising 190 boys and 65 girls with a staff population of seven.
On 1st September 2011, Miss Margaret Abra Amehame was appointed as the first substantive Headmistress of the School, and on 18th April 2012, the school was formally absorbed into the Public
school system.
VISION
To be a unique second cycle school in Ghana and be seen as a mini university with well-endowed facilities,
qualified, self-motivated, and dedicated teachers who are willing and ready to impart knowledge and discipline to the students.

MISSION
Weta Senior High School was established to provide quality education and training to develop good morals, strong spiritual and cultural values in students to enable them to fit into the society and play their role in the development of our dear country
