The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
The school was established in October 2006 as a private co-educational institution through the initiative and efforts of Chief, Elders, and some prominent opinion leaders of Assin Bereku who gave the name “Assin State College” to the school. Three years after the establishment, Assin College was absorbed into the public system on 5th October 2009.
VISION
Assin State College envisages a college where all students, regardless of their geenrollhical area, gender, religion, who enroll in the school, are given equal opportunity and access to quality education which will empower the students.
MISSION
To harness the limited resources available and the skills of qualified and motivated staff to unearth and develop the hidden talents and potentials of our young boys and girls through self-discipline and dedication to work.
