The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

Baglo Ridge Senior High Technical School is a community-based co-educational institution that was officially opened on the 4th of March 1991 as a public institution under the Ghana Education Service
with 17 students and 4 teachers. The school is located in Baglo-Beam in the Jasikan district.
VISION
To be an institution where relevant education is provided to all Ghanaians at all levels to enable them to acquire skills that will assist them to develop their
potentials, to be productive, to facilitate poverty reduction, and promote socio-economic growth and national development.
MISSION
We aim to provide high-quality pre-tertiary education and training relevant to the manpower needs of the country and in line with the pre-tertiary aspects of the goals of the Ministry of Education, making it accessible to all basic school leavers.
