Breaking: CETAG serves Notice of Intended Strike Action

The Report culled from Colleges Of Education Weekly Journal has revealed that management of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) will embark on strike action come next year.
The Association has today 13th December 2021 served notices to the government of their intended strike action.
According to CETAG, the strike action will begin on 6th January 2022.

Cause Of Intended Strike Action

It will be recalled that the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) and the Government of Ghana signed (MoU) on 24th September 2021 after reaching an agreement through negotiation on 2017-2020 Conditions of Service (CoS) for members of the Association.
The effective date of implementation as stated in the MOU is January 1, 2021, while payment of associated arrears of nine (9) months was to be paid in October, November, and December 2021.
The months of October and November 2021 ended without any payments being made to members of the CETAG.
