Sky News GhColleges of Education Of Education To Pay For Free Wi-Fi- Minister Of Education
The Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei ADutwum, says that Colleges of Education who have already benefitted from the busy Internet service Provision will refund the initial cost of installation paid back to free SHS.
This decision came after the 46 Public Colleges of Education have benefited from Free Wi-Fi meant for Pre-tertiary schools that are funded by Free SHS.

According to the Minister, the original cost of GHC6,824,000.00 paid for the 46 Colleges will be shared for the colleges to pay.
Background
It will be recalled that in September 2020, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has announced that over 80 percent of SHS and colleges of education across the country have Wi-Fi installed on their campuses.
The project is part of the free Wi-Fi Government of Ghana is providing in all educational institutions across the country to enhance Internet connection
