The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

Denyaseman Catholic Senior High School [DECASHS] is located in the Bekwai Municipality in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It was established in
1992, absorbed into the Government system in April 2010, and registered under the Education Act 778 of
2008 and categorized into a Grade ‘B’ school. It is among the six [6] government-assisted Second Cycle
Institutions in the Municipality and is sited exactly in-between Hurtado and Piano township in the Denyse Traditional Area. The school is the highest
educational institution in the catchment area.
VISION
To be the best training center of education in the Municipal, offering education to the youth.
MISSION
To provide an affordable quality Catholic education to the youth with special emphasis on girl child and
technical education, encouraging academic and moral excellence among the youth and promoting sustainable human resource development.
