The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

Esaase Bontefufuo SHTS is a Government assisted
second cycle institution located at Esaase in the Amansie West District in Ashanti Region. It was
established as a community school in 1991 to offer senior high education to children within the Bontefufuom enclave and beyond. Its sole aim was
to educate children holistically and instill in their hard work and godliness. The school upholds fundamental
educational principles that are effectively helping to achieve its stated mission and vision.
VISION
To be an enviable haven educating and unearthing the hidden talents of the Amansie West child by providing effective academic excellence through
proper monitoring and supervision of teaching and learning activities.
MISSION
To provide quality senior high education to the Amansie West child to unearth all the hidden talents that will enable him or her to function well in every social activity.
