The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

About Forces Senior High Technical School Burma Camp
The Armed Forces Senior High Technical School, established jointly by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education in 1978, started as a Junior Secondary School i978. It was upgraded in 1982 to a Secondary Technical School (now Senior High Technical School). It exists to take care of the dependents of soldiers, Ministry of Defense civilian employees, and the civilian neighbors within the catchment area of Burma Camp.
VISION
To become an ultra-modern Senior High Technical School in Ghana (Model School), and a center of excellence for Science, ICT, Technical and Vocational education.
MISSION
To train and equip young people with requisite skills, knowledge, moral aptitude, and discipline in an environment of collaboration and mutual respect among teachers, parents, and students for the best results for the individual’s and the country’s wellbeing.
