GES Told Not To Deny Private School students Category A SHSs
The management of the Council of Private Schools has urged the Ghana Education Service not to deny private school students category A Senior High Schools in the yet to be released 2022 Placement.
In an interview with the media, the spokesman for the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), Samuel Nyamekye said that it has been observed that Ghana Education Service places more emphasis on students from public schools over those from the private sector during the previous school placement.
According to the Spokesman for the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), it is not fair for Ghana Education Service to deny private school students who pay their BECE registration fee access to ‘Category A’ schools by reserving 30% for public schools.
“It is very unfair and unfortunate for private school students to pay their BECE registration fee and be denied full access to Category A schools by reserving 30% for public schools. We need an explanation to this,” he lamented.
“We are calling on the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to come out and explain to us and the entire public for such unwarranted policy to be formulated and implemented in our education system”
