Good News: Ministry of Education spokesperson sends a message to trainees

Hon. Yaw Opoku Mensah, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education is encouraging all teacher trainees in the 46 Public Colleges of Education to exercise patience with the government.
According to Him, the Ministry of Finance has commenced processes to release funds for the payment of trainee’s allowances.

“I want to assure all trainees in colleges of education that the government in due course will settle the unpaid allowances, the Ministry of Finance has begun a process to effect the payment in the coming few days, it could be within October” he stated.

The Leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana on 5th October 2021 has given the government three weeks’ ultimatum to pay the six months allowance arrears owed its constituents.
