Government To Supply SHS students With tablets loaded with course materials – Bawumia

The Vice President Of Ghana, Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia on 2nd November 2021 has revealed that the government is set to supply all Senior High Schools students with tablets loaded with learning materials.

Speaking at Ghana’s Digitization Drive, Dr.Bawumia says the Ministry of Education is currently in consultations with publishers of the new curriculum textbooks to preload all the tablets with all the required textbooks for students.

According to the Vice President, Government has provided 350,000 teachers with laptops under the One teacher, One laptop policy.
“the writing of lesson notes into notebooks apart from being stressful is a time-consuming activity.” Dr.Bawumia added

Teaching and Learning materials have already been installed on the laptops, This will enable teachers to download the lesson notes onto the laptop to end the burdensome task of writing lesson notes.

Wifi For SHS and Tertiary Institutions

Dr.Bawumia said that the government has provided free internet wifi to 13 Public Universities, All Government Public Colleges Of Education, and Senior High schools across the cross.
