The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION

Ko Senior High School was established as a Community Day School in 1994 with an initial intake of 105 students. This noble dream was championed
by the traditional and opinion leaders through the facilitation of the District and Regional Directorates
of education for a Senior High School in the locality.
The boarding status of the school was granted in September 2006.

VISION
To be among the top ten ranking second cycle an institution in Ghana whose graduates attain holistic development from quality education and good moral
training for their benefit, the society they live in, and for the nation’s development.

MISSION
To provide quality education and good moral training for students in Ghana through good leadership, the
retention of qualified staff and effective adoption of appropriate methodologies in a congenial school environment such that the graduates become
resourceful and self-disciplined for the betterment of the nation.
