The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

ACHIEVEMENTS
• In the second cycle schools’ zone one festival of arts for 2016, the school was first in Dance
Drama and second in Drum Language.
• The school won 2nd place out of 10 schools h competed in the recent NCCE debate.
• The school placed first in the Ghana’s 60th
Independence march in the S.H.S. category.
• Sports: The school’s girls’ soccer team
emerged as winners in the just ended zonal sports festival in Cape Coast in the central region.
DESCRIPTION
Komenda by cal School was established by the Government of Ghana in accordance with PNDC Law 207 as a community, co-educational and day institution in ary, 1991. This was to make education more relevant to the needs of the society.
The school premises was once used by the Naval Wing of the Ghana Armed Forces as barracks during the Second World War (1939 –1945). Later, it was used as an experimental Junior Secondary School.

To transform Komenda Senior High Technical School into a first-class national institution.
MISSION
Provides secondary, Technical and vocational education to attract qualified and dedicated teachers and to boost public confidence makes students intelligent, knowledgeable, socially and morally acceptable, able to make the community and selves through quality teaching, learning and best management practice.
