The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
Konadu Yiadom Senior High was established in 1975 as a community co-educational school to provide secondary education to the youth in Asamang and the surrounding communities.
It was established by the Asamang Community led by Tamang Hene Barima Owusu Sekyere and Opanin Kwame Opoku, owner of Hotel de Texas, and Opanin Opoku Agyemang, Shell Manager, Kumasi.
VISION
The vision of the School is to become one of the best schools in the Region, preparing boys and girls who will be well equipped to play key roles in the development of the country.
MISSION
Through the judicious and prudent use of limited resources available, the school will ensure that students are provided with requisite training that
would guarantee holistic human development of their capabilities at both academic and social levels.
