NSS Allowance Increased?
The National Union of Ghana Students demands an increment in NSS Allowance.
The 56th President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), Dennis Nana Appiah Larbi-Ampofo requested a meeting with the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.
At the meeting, the NUGS President touched several on troubling issues concerning education in the country.
Mr. Larbi-Ampofo requested passionately at the meeting that the NSS allowance should be increased from GH¢559.00 to GH¢800.00.
In a tweet sighted, he said “As part of the request to the President of Ghana this afternoon, we made a passionate request for an increment in NSS allowance to 800 cedis !”
Due to the current waves ragging the economy of Ghana, National Service Personnel ought to demand and enjoy the best of their service to mother Ghana.
Stressing on the increment of the NSS allowance, he tweeted “I repeat 559 is not in any way understandable!” hence, he calls for addressing such a key issue.

“We are meeting the Management of NSS this evening, key on the agenda is the need to increase NSS allowance to 800 cedis !” he tweeted.
At the rate at which the economy is gearing, the GH¢559.00 paid as NSS allowance can not cater for transportation to work to and fro, cover for upkeeps, and savings.
