The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
The brain behind the establishment of the noble institution, the late Mr. Joseph Duah, sold the idea to the two traditional councils of Odomase. The two councils seeing the wisdom in the vision mobilized both material and financial resources for the take-off of the school. The school started unofficially on the 8th of November 1985 with Mr. M. A Brenya (Nana.
Kwabena Asante Krobea II) as the acting Headmaster with thirty-two 32 students and four teachers. On the 11th December 1986, the school was officially opened.

To attract potential Senior High School students within
the Sunyani West District and beyond and provide
them with sound academic and moral upbringing
that would enable them to face the technological and
knowledge-based world, and contribute effectively
