The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
The Presbyterian Senior High School, OSU was established in 1956 in one of the missionary buildings at the foot of Kuku Hill of Osu. It was to offer
Presbyterian education to children whose parents could not afford the boarding fees of the sister school at Odumase Krobo which was later moved to Legon.
It was also considered that Osu, being the seat of the Basel Mission and Presbyterianism, needed a higher institution. The church and some individual educationists teamed up to establish the school with Mr. Cleland Armah as the first Headmaster. In 1963,the school was absorbed into the Public system. The church offered the present site (The New Site) for the school.

caring, responsible and productive citizens of our community, nation, and world.
MISSION
To empower all students to apply their acquired skills and knowledge and to rely upon their personal
attributes to lead productive lives and become competitive and participatory citizens in a globalized world.
