The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
The school was established in January 1991 as an upgraded institution of the Aburi Experimental Junior Secondary School and offered courses in Woodwork, Building Construction, Tailoring, and Catering under the Headship of the late Mr. G E Asiedu Offei and later Mr. C L Odame. The School started as a day school
with hostel facilities and became a boarding school from the 2000/2001 academic year. In August 2015,
Rev. Ebenezer Asiedu took over as the Headmaster of the school.
The school offers programs in General Arts, General Science, Agriculture, Home Economics, Visual Arts, and Technical Education. The academic performance of the school had been good since its establishment with discipline as its hallmark.
The school is located at Aburi Akwapim near the Aburi Botanical Gardens in the Akwapim South District of the Eastern Region.
