The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
S.D.A. Senior High is located between Bekwai and Asansol on the Anwiankwanta-Cape Coast road.
The institution was established by the SeventhDay Adventist Church in 1953. It co-existed with the Certificate “A” 2-years, 4-years, and later 3-years of Teacher Training College till 1974 when the Teacher Training College was phased out leaving the Secondary School. The motto of the school is LUMEN TUMM FULGEAT translated, ‘Let Your Light Shine’.
VISION
To create a center to train students to achieve moral and academic excellence and to develop desirable careers that fit into the dreams of society.
MISSION
To train the Head, the Hands, and the Heart students to achieve total and holistic education to prepare them for the joy of service to God and humanity.
