The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

St Dominic’s Senior High School won the 2019 18th Ghana-Japan Yosakoi Festival Dance held at the Japan Embassy in Ghana, on Thursday 21 November. Won – Girls’ Football – Regional Football Tournament held in Koforidua 28th November 2019.

History of St. Dominic’s Senior High Technical Pepease
St. Dominic’s Senior High Technical School is sourced from the Most Rev. Dominic Ando, Archbishop Emeritus of the Accra Arch Diocese. The School started in 1980 as one of the then nine (9) Regional Pilot Experimental Junior Secondary Schools and the was initiated under the able, well-focused leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Glatzel from Paris.
The transitional period of the Experimental JSS to St. Dominic’s Secondary Technical School, the first of its kind in the then Kwahu South District took effect in the reign of Nana Ampadu Okyere II in 1991 who gave his blessing to the school, and the generosity of the Presbyterian Church of Pepease who released a portion of their land to the school. The school has
been blessed with capable and efficient headmasters.
VISION
To be one of the best Senior High schools in the Region and the country training the Ghanaian youth to overcome the challenges of this century.
MISSION
Expand access to Secondary and Technical education within the Kwahu East catchment area and other environs by providing and improving relevant
academic infrastructural facilities, improving the quality of teaching and learning for effective output
and making vocational and technical education more relevant to the Ghanaian youth.
