The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION

St. Margaret Mary Senior High School was
established by the St. Margaret Mary Parish,Dansoman, as a co-educational private day school in October 1996. The official opening of the school was
performed by Hon. Kwabena Kyere Deputy Minister of Education on 24th May 1997. In September 1998, there was the physical movement of the school from the St. Bernadette Soubirous compound
to the first uncompleted building at the new site.
In September 2005 the Board of Governors, with the blessing of the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra,
graciously allowed the school to be absorbed into the Public school system.

To be a center for holistic and lifelong learning.

MISSION
To provide appropriate holistic formation for life intellectually, morally, socially, and physically to enable young persons to excel in all spheres of life.
