Sky News GhTeacher Trainees Allowance Payment At Final Stage-Education Ministry
Kwasi Kwarteng, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education says that the government is working around the clock to release allowance for trainee students.
The PRO in a blog post on his Official Facebook stated that the payment process has gotten to the final stage. Students should expect payment soon.
Some trainees have told the News Team of Sky News Ghana Media Company that delays in the payment of the allowance have imposed untold economic hardship on them.

“We have borrowed money from our friends for our school fees on the basis that if the allowance is paid, we will pay them back.”
“Majority of trainees depend solemnly on the allowance for survival since they are restricted from getting loans from Student Loan Trusted Fund as compare to their counterpart in other tertiary institutions.”
Teacher Trainees are therefore appealing to the government to fast-track processes to get the allowance paid as soon as possible.
