TTAG To Engage UCC and GTEC On Possible Reduction Of Examination Fees

The Executives of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) have revealed plans to engage the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission on possible reduction of Examination fees for colleges of Education affiliated with the University Of Cape Coast.

TTAG in a letter dated 21st December 2021 announced that the leadership has taken keen steps to intervene for trainees and as a result, the Director-General of GTEC, Prof. Salifu Mohammed has been petitioned to engage the necessary stakeholders involved to reconsider their decision on this.

AN INCREASE IN AMOUNT OF EXAMINATION FEES FOR TRAINEES

The leadership took notice of a release from the Institute of Education, UCC which sought to communicate the 2021/22 Examination Fee charges to which increments have been noticed for the Various levels of teacher trainees with affiliation to the Institute. To that, the leadership has taken keen steps to intervene for trainees and as a result, the Director-General of GTEC, Prof. Salifu Mohammed has been petitioned to engage the necessary stakeholders involved to reconsider their decision on this. Follow-ups will continuously be made and the leadership will not hesitate to relay new developments to trainees.
