The Vice-President of Ghana Dr. Bawumia says that the Government will liaise with the Minister of Education to award some incentives to graduates from Colleges of Education affiliated to the various universities in the country.
The Vice-President said this last week when the Leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana paid a courtesy call on him at Jubilee House.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia assured the leadership of TTAG that the Government will meet the various stakeholders in charge of Teacher Education to deliberate on the issue.
It will be recalled that in 2011
the University of Cape Coast had offered scholarships to brilliant but needy trainees who graduated with Diploma Basic Education from Colleges of Education to pursue degree programs at the University of Cape Coast.
Some students were also presented with Laptops and Cash.
