The Ministry Of Interior under the auspices of the Government Of Ghana wishes to remind the general public that Friday, 3rd December 2021 which marks Farmer’s Day is a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
About Farmer’s Day
National Farmers Day is an award instituted by the government to reward hardworking farmers who have contributed immensely to the development of agriculture in the country.
It is celebrated on the first Friday of December each year to recognize the contributions of farmers and fishers in the country. The holiday is designed to recognize the importance of the farming and fishing industry in the socio-economic growth of Ghana.
