2023/2024 Academic Calendar for Nursing Schools is out now -Check now
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has released the approved 2023/2024 Academic Calendar for all public health training institutions.
An official letter dated 21st April, 2023 which was signed by Mrs. Emma Ofori Agyemang, AG. Chief Director for Minister indicated that the the 2023/2024 academic calendar was jointly developed by the Ministry of Health, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC), Conference of Heads of Health Training Institutions (COHHETI) and meant to restore the “old normal” Academic Calendar.

The Ministry in the said letter acknowledges and pledged their readiness to engage on the envisaged challenges in the implementation.
All Principals and Directors of public health training institutions were told to note and comply accordingly with the release.

2023/2024 ACADEMIC CALENDAR
1st Semester 2023/2024 Academic Year
The semester will last for 16 weeks.
- The academic year will start from 4th September – 22nd December 2023.
ACTIVITIES
The activities in this semester are as follows:
Reopening, Registration, and Orientation.
Matriculation.
Lectures.
Mid-Semester Exams.
Intra Semester Practicum.
Revision.
End of Semester Exams.
- From 8th January – 2nd February 2024 there will be Vacation Practicum /Psychiatry Affiliation (4 weeks).
2nd Semester 2023/2024 Academic Year
This semester will be 16 weeks long.
- Starting from 12th February – 31st May 2024 there will be some activities.
