Founders’ Day is observed to salute the hard efforts of the men that led Ghana to independence on March 6, 195,7 from the colonial masters.
Initially, the Day was dedicated to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first Prime Minister of Ghana where it was celebrated on his birthday 21st September but it was later subjected to review.
The review made it a Day that should be dedicated to the “Big Six” that collectively fought for Ghana’s independence.
