A Ghanaian Teacher aired his debt of GH¢39,000.00 that he owes including his budget on the remaining salary.
A Ghanaian Basic school teacher called Moses aired his financial challenges in an interview with the media.
Speaking in the video, he said he had been teaching for twelve (12) years with Ghana Education Service (GES) where he earns GH¢2,5000.00 as his take-home pay (monthly salary).
Moses recalled and give a total amount of debt he owes. He said his total debt amounts to GH¢39,000.00 (39K). The loans according to him are paid with GH¢1,000.00 from his monthly take home of GH¢25,000.00 therefore, he is left with GH¢1,500,00 (salary) which is meant to cater for his family (wife, 4 children, and parents).

Further, he shared his experience with the ‘stable economy’ years ago. He said years ago, GH¢5.00 can cater for his breakfast (Kenkey and fish) but with the recent hardship in the country, it is very difficult for him to spend the same amount of money on breakfast hence, affecting his meagre salary after loans reductions.

For hope and better days, he praised the support given to him by his nurse wife during his hard days. Marrying a woman that understands you, manage stress in times of difficulties and calming situation considering this “Ghanaian troubling economy” accompanied with hectic thinking and hoping for the best in every spin of clock.
