The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
The School was established on 20th January 1992 as a result of the Government’s new Educational Policy.
Its establishment was initiated by some prominent citizens of Akim Akroso notably the late Nana Afariwua IV, Lawrence Ampofo Bempong, Addae
Bediako, D. S. K. Acquah, Nana Job Amoako, A. A. Bempong, Solomon Kwadwo Obeng and others.

The school is situated on a 94-acre tract of land on the south eastern part of Akim Akroso in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region.

VISION
To develop a model school of excellence and inculcate in students, discipline and quality education to enhance hum and resource development.

MISSION
To apply effective teaching, learning and proper administrative techniques to help in producing human resource.
