The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION

Birifoh Senior High School was established as a Private Community Day Senior High School in November 2011 by the community members with a total student
population of Sixty-three (63). The school is located in the Lawra Municipality in the Upper West Region of Ghana. In June 2013, the school was absorbed
into the public system as a Day Senior High School by the Government. The school which was formerly located at a rehabilitated abundant primary school
block in Birifoh has now been relocated to a new site at Lawra.
VISION
To produce dedicated and responsible citizens who will contribute meaningfully towards the socioeconomic development of the country.

MISSION
To educate students to become useful citizens to society by ensuring that students are able to adjust
to various life situations and to cope as responsible and disciplined citizens in the society.
