Government To Construct 400-bed hostel block In Public Colleges of Education
Dr.Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister Of Education says the Government of Ghana will soon commence the construction of 400-Bed hostel blocks in all accredited Public Colleges Of Education to address the infrastructural challenges currently being faced by the colleges.

The Minister Of Education in a press briefing held some time ago said the contract for the building of the students’ hostel blocks has been awarded and work will start next month of this year under the auspices of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission.
“The contract for the hostel blocks has been awarded by next month construction will begin and every public College of Education in the country I think is getting a 400-bed hostel,”
“We made teacher education four years, therefore there is a need to add more facilities, a 400-bed hostel with excellent furniture,”
Impact Of Infrastructural Challenges In Colleges Of Education
Ghana Tertiary Education Commission as a result of the inadequate infrastructure challenges in public Colleges Of Education has directed the various Principals to ensure that the 2021/2022 academic year fresh students admission do not exceed numbers that were admitted in the 2019/2020 academic year.
In a related development, the Vice President of Ghana, Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia said that it is very true that there are infrastructure deficit in Colleges of Education and the number of students admitted has also increased because of the FREE SHS policy and the 4-Year B.Ed program
