Just In: teacher trainees and Nurses who completed their training in 2018 not posted
Mohammed Abdul Aziz, Former MP for Mion Constituency has accused the government of neglecting nurses and teacher trainees who completed their training in 2018.
In an interview with TV3, Mr. Mohammed said that it was clear that the government was not willing to absorb them into the job market.
His comments came after the Finance Minister’s declaration that the public sector is choked with some 650,000 and thus is unable to absorb workers.
“The only way to solve graduate unemployment is for the government to lay the foundation for the private sector to thrive well”

“I am not sure government has an answer to the youth unemployment in this country. This government has also taken policies deliberately that have created unemployment. Some students finished nursing training college in 2018 up to date and they have not been posted. Same for the teacher trainees, those who finished somewhere in 2018 have not been posted. Why? The government will tell you they are unable to pay them”, he added
