Here is the date for writing the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination

The management of the National Teaching Council, NTC has officially announced a new date for writing licensure examinations for the first batch of degree students from Colleges of Education.

UPLOADING OF PASS LIST

As part of the implementation of the reforms in the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE), the Council respectfully request your outfit to note the following and comply as appropriate:

  1. This year’s GTLE for 2022 graduates will be subject and level based. In other words, candidates will write the examination in their subject area of specialization (major subject) in addition to General Paper and General Pedagogy. Detailed content areas will be published very soon.
  2. The examination shall be exclusively for Bachelor of Education Degree holders and holders of Post Graduate Diploma in Education. For the avoidance of doubt, no Diploma graduate is permitted to register and sit for the examination.

You are therefore requested to upload the particulars of qualified graduates on the National Teaching Council’s portal (indexing.nte.gov.gh) with the following headings in an Excel format:
a. Index Number
b. Surname
c. Middle Name
d. First Name
e. Date of Birth
f. Sex
g. Program
h. Program Qualification
i. Year of Admission
j. Year of Graduation
k. Class

  1. Email address
    m. Telephone number
    Note that the deadline for the upload is not later than the 30th of June 2023 and the registration of students for the examination starts on the 1″ of July 2023.
