The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

Odoben Senior High School was established in January, 1991, in furtherance of the Education reform,
part of which, sought to provide Secondary Education to the needy and deprived Communities in Ghana.
The School was therefore established to cater to the Secondary Educational needs of those who will find it difficult to travel to the cities and urban areas for Secondary Education.
VISION
To create a professional learning community in which students and teachers will collaborate effectively to improve the academic performance of the school within three years.
MISSION
To provide quality education to all ir, respective of the tribe, sex and religion through the creation of an enabling environment for an effective and efficient academic performance.
