Public Sector Workers Get 30% Salary Increment For 2023

In an agreement sighted by Skynewsgh.com, the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awah, TUC Secretary Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, Chief Executive of Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Ing. Benjamin Authur, and the Executive Secretary for CLOGSAG signed the final agreement reached on the Base Pay.

Update On Base Pay Increment Today For Government Workers

After several negotiations from 10th January 2023 which was the eighth (8th) negotiation, a final agreement has been reached today 12th January 2023.

The government team and Organised Labour finally agreed on 30% of the cross-board for the 2023 fiscal year.

The effective date for the implementation of the Base Pay is 1st January 2023.

At the meeting today, the government team proposed 25%, and Organised Labour reduced their from 50% to 35%

Later after discussions, the government team pushed it to 27% but it was not accepted by Organised Labour.

Eventually, Organised finalized the negotiations with 30% which became the agreed Base Pay on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).
