The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
The Somè Senior High School is situated at Agbozume in the Ketu South District of the Volta Region. It was founded in 1966 by the Agbozume Scholars Association (ASA) and christened Agbozume Secondary School. It was administered as a Private Community Institution until 11th October 1977 when it was absorbed into the Public School System.
The school’s Motto – “Tso Nakle” (Arise and Shine) is a clarion call to the students to arise and shine wherever they are. In other words, it is urging them to be the beacon of society wherever they are and live up to their responsibilities and expectations.
VISION
To grow into a Senior High School that is well-endowed infrastructure-wise, that has more qualified, competent, well-motivated, and dedicated staff, and
that has well-disciplined and academically-sound students.
MISSION
For us in Some Senior High schools, the concept of education goes beyond training for jobs. It denotes the whole dimension of academic, cultural, moral, and spiritual development. We, therefore, aim at nurturing and training those who pass through SOSEC into academically sound and morally upright people who are capable of contributing their quota to
