The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
St. Jerome Senior High School (SAJESS), was established in 1989 by the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi and was first headed by Rev. Fr. Luanga Adu Poku. The school is located at Abofour in the Offinso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

VISION
To be a training ground educating students to effectively and efficiently use their Heads, Hands, and Hearts, to be useful to themselves, the school, and society.

MISSION
To train people to attain academic excellence and instill moral discipline in them; create an enabling environment to facilitate effective and efficient teaching and learning; ensure students are supplied with the relevant learning tools, equipment,t, and materials; recruit qualified and hardworking teachers; and motivate all stakeholders to put in their best in all fields of learning, teaching, and training.
