The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION

The School was established in the 1998/99 academic year as the first Girls’ Senior High School in the Northern Region. The initiative for the establishment of the school came from the regional-ordinating Council (RCC) and Ghana Education Service (GES). It is located along the Sawla-Damongo
road close to the District Assembly.

VISION
To provide formal and relevant education to well-deserving individuals to enable them to acquire the
requisite knowledge, skill, and competencies for further training in tertiary institutions to become
productive citizens.

MISSION
To maintain and encourage quality academic, moral and disciplined training to the students to enable
they have access to tertiary institutions to be trained to satisfy the manpower needs of the country.
