The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
Twifo Praso Senior High School was established in September, 1981 as a Co-Educationalnstitution, as a day institution with a student enrolment of 74.
In 2002, a hostel system was started for 60 students. the village-to-village enrolment drive was initiated increasing student enrolment.
In 2004, the Government introduced the model school program anthe d Twifo Praso SHS was selec250-acres District. In January 2008, the school moved to its
the new and present site, on a 250-acre land released by the Twain fo Ati Morkwa Traditional Council.

VISION
Twifo Praso Senior High School seeks to develop an academic institution that produces the best results in the nation while offering holistic education, total
quality development of students and equipping them with basic life skills that will propel them to highly esteemed positions in the society

MISSION
To inculcate into students’ academic, moral, spiritual, and leadership qualities as well as strong alumni
relations. This will be achieved by facilitating anto d enhancing all the processes and procedures that will
enable all players (stakeholders) to achieve synergy in executing their tasks, through effective and efficient management of resources to make education delivery relevant to the manpower needs of Ghana.
