The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
Volta Technical Institute (VTI), Matse, is a community-based technical institute established in September 2013, by the chiefs and the good people of MatseDzobi in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region of the Republic of Ghana. It is situated about a kilometer (1km) from Matse town along the Ho- Dzolokpuita trunk road. It was absorbed into the Public system as a Government School in December 2016.
VISION
The Institute shall become the best in producing a higher skilled labor force for industry and commerce in Ghana by the year 2030.
MISSION
The institute aims to train students to acquire the desired knowledge, values, employable and entrepreneurial skills, inverses trades, too become competent employees, successful self employed and employers.
