WAEC Begins 2023 WASSCE Registration For Private Candidates

The management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened registration for the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates.

In a press statement released on May 17, WAEC announced that registration for the 2023 WASSCE for private candidates has commenced.

The first series of WASSCE Private Candidate 2023 is still ongoing. Normal Registration ended on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Walk-in candidate registration started on Monday, January 23, 2023. Interested Candidates can purchase a Registration PIN at any WAEC Office nearest to them up till the end of the examinations or visit the WAEC website – www.waecgh.org for more information and to complete their registration.

How To Register For WAEC Private Exam (NOVDEC)

Go to the Nov/Dec registration portal
Fill in the required security information data, i.e. password, security question, etc.
Fill in your personal information, i.e. your official name, GPS address, active email address, telephone contact, etc.
Upload your picture.
Upload your biometric, that is your fingerprint and signature.
Select the Region and the Centre where you wish to take the examination.
Select the subject (s) you intend to write about.
Print your voucher and send it to any of the banks
Pay the appropriate fees at the bank or by Visa card ONLINE.
You will use your Invoice Number to access your Index number and admission notice from mid-October, 2023.

Cost Of Wassce Private Registration

 Some people may ask, is WASSCE for private candidates free?  No, it isn't free. WAEC registration fee for entry in 7 or 8 subjects is GH¢381.24. This figure excludes oral tests and practical tests. The cost of one practical test ranges between  GH¢14.50 and GH¢19.50

When Will The Exam Start?

The exams are said to start in October and end in November.

WASSCE for Private Candidates registration process will end on July 27, 2023, without further extension of the Nov/Dec deadline.
Therefore students are to read the wassce for private students manual before applying and also provide accurate information to prevent any unforeseen errors.
