About 2023 Academic Calendar For SHS
The management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the 2022/2023 Academic Calendar For Senior High School (SHS).
According to the transitional calendar re-opening dates, the SHS has varied dates for re-opening, breaking for the semester, and vacation.
SHS 3 – 1st SEMESTER SCHEDULE
SHS 3 students will start their first semester on 9th January 2023 through to 17th February 2023.
They will start their semester break on 28th February 2023 through to 12th March 2023.
They will go back and continue the semester from 13th March 2023 to 2nd June 2023.

The vacation for SHS 3 has been slated to commence on 2nd June 2023 and end on 18th June 2023.
SHS 3 – 2nd SEMESTER SCHEDULE
The 2nd semester for SHS 3 students will kickstart from 19th June 2023 through to 28th September 2023.
SHS 2 – 1st SEMESTER SCHEDULE
SHS 2 students will start their first semester on 9th January 2023 through to 9th March 2023.
They will start their semester break on 10th March 2023 through to 21st April 2023.
They will go back and continue the semester from 24th April 2023 to 2nd June 2023.
The vacation for SHS 2 has been slated to commence on 3rd June 2023 and end on the 6th of August 2023.
SHS 2 – 2nd SEMESTER SCHEDULE
The 2nd semester for SHS 3 students will kickstart from 7th August 2023 through to 22nd December 2023.
SHS 1 – 1st SEMESTER SCHEDULE
SHS 1 students will start their first semester on 20th February 2023 through to 21st April 2023.
They will start their semester break on 22nd April 2023 through to 18th June 2023.
They will go back and continue the semester from 19th June 2023 to 4th August 2023.
The vacation for SHS 1 has been slated to commence on 5th August 2023 and end on the 1st of October 2023.
SHS 1 – 2nd SEMESTER SCHEDULE
The 2nd semester for SHS 1 students will kickstart from 2nd October 2023 through to 22nd December 2023.
