The decision to resume the strike is based on the majority decision taken on 14th December 2022 to suspend the strike for the employer to resolve our outstanding concerns within two weeks failure of which we would resume.
Following the suspension of the strike on 17 December, 022 after signing the communiqué on 16th December 2022, the Government Team is yet to resolve our outstanding issues.
Acting on the dictates of the Council, leadership wants to use this opportunity to entreat every member to comply with the decision to resume the strike indefinitely until the employer has given us our 2021 Conditions of Service (CoS) and the compensation for all-year-round work.
