The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION

St. Peter’s began its life of character and academic training on 5th February 1957 with thirty-six pioneer students and two teachers in the private residence
of Opanyin Onwona Farkle. The courses offered were Arts and Science. Rev. Fr. Clement Hotze an American was the first Headmaster of the school
and taught Arts while Mr. Agyare taught Science. By September 1960, St. Peter’s Senior High School had developed and acquired an enviable reputation in
the country as a first-class institution.

To maintain and sustain the enviable state and the reputation of being the premier Senior High school in Ghana and Africa where top-quality education incorporating principles of Catholic education is assured.

To provide integral and quality education for the youth to be responsible to all society and themselves.
